Scott & Jama are getting married!

Brian and I met Jama probably almost 4 years ago, when she was interning in the wedding planning industry. We got the privilege of working with her a few times and shooting a few of her friends weddings since. we always said we couldn’t wait until she got engaged…well, the time is here. It was great to get to know Scott also (your pretty cool too)…we are super excited for you guys and had a great time working with you guys! can’t wait for your wedding! here are a few favorites, enjoy.

all i have to say, is that these pictures make me smile!

we had a great time working with ryan and megan. we started jeff & jessica’s engagement session, where it all began. jeff proposed to jessica, down by the water at hueston woods state park…thought the weather was just slightly warmer! he proposed when the lake was ice and everything around was covered in snow. one of my favorite things about the day was jessica’s smile. you know those genuine smiles that light up a whole face? yup, she has one of those! here is your sneak peek! we look forward to seeing you guys in about a month!!!

brian and I met with them on a chilly spring afternoon for their engagement photo session…their wedding is coming super quick and we will be seeing them soon! Joanne has put a lot of time into the details and i am super excited to see how everything works together on the wedding day….i know it will be beautiful!!!

okay, so i have to say that the first image of them is one of my favorites. and what is so cute about is that it was one of the very first images that we shot, before they started to get comfortable with camera’s following them around ;-) another reason, we love engagement sessions, they are such a great opportunity for us to get to know couples better and vice versus, before the wedding day! here are a few favorites…enjoy. steve and joanne, we had a fabulous time with you guys and are looking forward to may! see ya soon.

saturday, brian and i got the pleasure of working with rockford and holly for their winter engagement session. i love it when clients are open to tromping through snow and not phased by cold (all just part of living in indiana). their dogs, cody and reinhard also joined us…which is really fitting, because they are a big part of the reason that they met. (reinhard, was probably the gentlest dobe that I have ever meet)

Paul & Wendy – Indianapolis Engagement Photography

It is always interesting to me when our clients are planning their wedding from a distance…many times we don’t get to meet until the wedding. But, Thanksgiving weekend worked out perfect! we were able to meet Paul & Wendy and get in their engagement session while they were in town! and we couldn’t have asked for a prettier day..thank you weather for cooperating. Paul & Wendy are originally from Indy, but now live in Washington DC. They are an adorable couple, sweet, sincere and a lot of fun. Brian and i had a great time working with you guys and are super excited for your wedding in june. (oh, and Paul’s engagement story…beats all locations that I have heard of…yup, he proposed in Egypt!) Enjoy your sneak peek!

scott & sarah: indianapolis engagement photography

you know, when you meet someone and right away connect?…that is how we felt the minute brian and i met scott & sarah. we have a lot in common with them (all the way down to the little detail, that both scott and i were biology majors…gone astray…to art)…a decision, i have been so thankful i made. one of the best parts of the day, is that scott and sarah are truely genuine with each other, and it shows through in all of their interactions! plus, they completely know how to have fun together and make each other laugh (i seriously, have a ton of pictures of them just laughing)….love it. we, can’t wait for your wedding!!!

doug & kristin: engaged – indianapolis engagement photography

so much fun! all i have to say is that doug and kristin are adorable. i love getting to watch couples interact and it was so much fun to watch the two of them together…they know how to laugh together…which is sooooo important. we explored downtown a little on this shoot…to be honest we don’t shoot a ton of engagement sessions downtown…i feel like we do more on the outskirts and in the surrounding towns. anyway, i have had my eye on this purple building that i see off the interstate (yes, my directions to brian were: “i see it as we get off the interstate…”) i know super helpful…anyway…it was perfect because doug and kristin were wearing white and darks jeans and there was such yummy light when we got there! yay! doug and kristin, enjoy your sneak peak!…p.s….kristin, you are so adorable!

Joe & Erin: Engagement Session

Saturday was a perfect picture day, well except that all the puffy clouds disappeared as we started to work. But despite that one small detail, we had a great time with Joe and Erin and enjoyed shooting in the spring weather. We met Joe and Erin last year at Justin and Nichole’s wedding…(they have some fun traditions…that you’ll get to see in June) and their wedding date is quickly approaching, so you will be seeing them soon again.
