on one of the only random winter mornings that indy actually got blasted with snow this year…i got the joy of photographing this little guy, baby eli. on january 13th, the newton family welcomed their third little boy into the world. he is tiny! and has two big brothers who are already in love with him. i love the photos of eli with his proud big brothers…they just make me smile! here are a few favorites from eli’s newborn session! and thanks morgan (of twysted yarn & newbie noggins) for making me a last minute premie hat!

dave and sarah, good friends of ours, welcomed their little boy, Jackson Ezekiel (Zeke) into the world on Thanksgiving day. He was a little stubborn about making his appearance, but finally decided it was time to come out. There were lots of cute props at his shoot, as his mama is super talented and made all his little hats & the cute turtle shell. dave & sarah we are so excited for you guys, and your little man is so precious & perfect! enjoy your sneak peek!

i love fall and i love photographing families with little boys. they have so much energy and are willing to try anything, from running up a hill, to tackling daddy and jumping off rocks. with that said, meet the newton family, they have 2 super energetic little boys and a 3rd sibling on the way! adam & lindsey it was great working with you! and can’t wait for baby #3 to get here.

Besides being moms to two little boys, Lindsey and I also share a love for wholesome cooking. Lindsey is an awesome cook and food blogger, so if you want some ideas for healthy wholesome food check out her food blog here! Her blog is one of my “go-to” blogs when i need ideas for dinner.

newborn photography: baby ruthie

another sweet baby has been born. welcome to the world little ruthie! (and when i say “little” i mean that literally) ruth annabella, was born at 35 weeks at 5lbs 3 oz (which is pretty good for 5 weeks early). she spent the first week of life in the nicu, but is home, with her big brother and family and doing great. big brother jackson is still not quite sure what to think of his little sister (as you can see in the pictures), but he will get there! adam & renee, congrats on baby #2, we are so excited for you guys! here are a few pics from ruthie’s newborn session.

In the past 4 weeks, 3 of our past wedding couples have had babies! I love it! Nick & Kim our friends, clients and one of Brian’s old roommates, welcomed their son hudson into the world on august 19th. He is adorable, sweet and already so loved by his parents, friends and family.

we are so excited for them as they travel down this journey as parents. here is sneak peek of baby hudson’s newborn photos.

parker: 8 months

as a photographer, i truely believe in the importance of documenting moments…that being said, i many times find myself grabbing my iphone to capture quick moments and little videos. that is kinda sad to me, because an iphone photo will never replace the quality of a good photograph. so i keep challenging myself to keep my camera close by…because my little guys are growing up way to fast!

Saturday, i got home from a shoot and promptly grabbed my little man parker and plopped him in a bucket. he is 8 months old today, and we are coming to the end of him staying in one place. i want to remember this moment, i know most likely in a day or two, he will be crawling and we can’t go back. i honestly kinda want to tell him to stop growing up so fast. so, here is my little man parker at 8 months… of course, he really wasn’t staying in one place…he quickly realized that he could move the bucket across the floor by bouncing back and forth… oh well!
