last year brian and i had the pleasure of shooting scott & sarah’s wedding and a now year later, i got to meet up with them to capture some updated family photos! by the way, i am a big fan and advocate of getting your photos taken at least once year! (we do it…though, both brian and i prefer to be behind the camera – i love that we capture a snipet of our lives, each year). scott & sarah, you are genuinely one of the sweetest and most adorable couples that i have ever had the opportunity to work with! i love how your characters shine through in your photos! enjoy!

i have two little boys… i think we are adjusting to two pretty well. there are days i feel like a super hero: photography + being a mom + cooking wholesome meals + living life…and some days, 2 seems like a lot. then, i realize there are even more super moms out there. crystal, a local makeup artist (who is awesome…brides check out her stuff), has 4 little boys…they are super sweet and adorable. lets just say i have a lot of respect for her…

we shot a studio session with the boys this past week. they were all fantastic to work with and pretty darn cute too. here are a few favorites from the session.

i love babies! i feel like i have mainly been photographing little boys this last year…so i was looking forward to little adalyn’s newborn shoot. she was adorable, sweet and very mild mannered. her big brother was also pretty proud of her. wes, amy and carson…we are so excited for you guys! here are a few favorites, enjoy!

i love shooting 1 year photos. they are one of my favorite times in a child’s life to capture…i love how they are exploring everything and now have a sense of independence. carson’s 1 year photos were just like that. he was a busy bee, all over the place… yet curious about me and my camera. i have known amy and wes for over 10 years now (yes, we are getting old) and am loving watching their family grow! here are a few favorites from the shoot…enjoy!

indianapolis newborn photography – baby parker

so you have seen this family on our blog a few times! this was our third chance to work with them, as they have expanded their family again. I got to meet baby parker, when he was 5 weeks old. he is still tiny, a little over 6 pounds, but this is because he did decide to surprise his parents a little over 6 weeks early and make an early entrance into the world. after 2 weeks in NICU, he got to come home and is perfect. his big brother, hayden, was proud of his little baby brother (which is always adorable). here are a few favorites from parker’s newborn/family session. enjoy!

I love watching little kids grow! carson is six months old and in that stage between mobile freedom and being stuck. frustrated with not moving and wanting to crawl so badly…amy and wes, my advice is enjoy this stage…because soon he will be into everything and you will literally never sit down ;-). i remember how badly i wanted brady to crawl…hmmm there are days where I miss setting him down in one place and knowing that he will still be there.

carson has absolutely beautiful blue eyes and seriously some of the cutest expressions! I love love love the first shot of carson and his teething drool! here are a few favorites from his 6 month portrait shoot.

so i love and hate winter! i love snow shoots and the different textures and backgrounds that they provide, but i hate the cold. brian and I are still laughing that we shot the earlewine family in the snow. for everyone that knows them, both daron and julie grew up in “warmer” climates and neither are that fond of cold, wet weather, but despite that, they braved the cold snow and we had a great shoot! here are a few of our favorites!

i love new babies and adorable baby natalie is here! i feel like family, friends and clients are having babies right and left…but natalie is one of the few little girls to be welcomed recently. it seems like everybody we know has had boys. i love how small and delicate little girls are…and all the pink. natalie was very content to sleep through most of her session, though we were able to get a few of her awake. it is always a joy to watch new parents and their interactions, pride and love as they look at their new baby…andy & becky, your lives are forever changed…enjoy!

baby logan is here! many of you have seen our friends kim and ryan on our blog before…(here are their expectation photos)…and we are so thrilled that baby logan has joined them! we are so excited to watch their family grow and for our boys to grow up together (they are 2 days shy of a year apart)! i am sure there will be a lot of adventures ahead! congrats on your first christmas with logan. enjoy!

i know this next photo looks mean to do to a little baby, but I promise we kept him warm…this bench was made by ryan’s great grandfather (i love the history, combined with newness!)

black friday sale – thanks to all our clients!

it’s that time of year…i am not a huge “black friday” shopper, at least not at stores…but brian on the other hand is… he loves thumbing through all the ads, finding great deals on things we really don’t need and then getting up early to attack the stores…yes, he has even waited in line most of the night for something from best buy ;-). we actually don’t plan on hitting the malls this year & will be spending the day with family (but I am guessing a few online purchases will be made)
